Synopsis

A romantic thriller set in
London, England and Santa Barbara, California this is a fast paced story of love, abuse and greed in the
world of big business, the lives of the super rich and the charity
sector.
Michael McGregor: bad boy
with a big heart.
A patriarch whose family often complain he is a
bad influence; a bad boy, underneath his rugged exterior he is as soft
as a puppy. He has a charm and confidence that friends admire, women
love and those with ‘small man disease’ secretly resent. He has
enemies, one in particular who wants to kill him.
Michael was abused as a child but is now one of
the wealthiest men in England. His salvation came through his first
love from whom he was cruelly separated - but now rediscovers. In
between, he has been married, served in Special Forces and built
several businesses.
Sarah
Rankhill-McGregor: bad girl with a cruel heart.
Sarah, Michael’s wife has
become psychotic through drugs and booze. She owns a successful PR
Company in London, inherited from her father but has barely done a
days work in her life. She spends most of her time riding horses and
having affairs, usually with other women.
Emma:
Michael’s young lover.
An extremely beautiful
Californian ‘surfer girl’, Michael had fallen in love with her; she
reminds him of his childhood sweetheart.
Deborah
Harper: Michael’s childhood sweetheart.
In their youth Deborah and
Michael would spend every possible moment together, he being healed
through her strength of character and she enjoying his zeal,
determined to help this boy become a healthy and secure young man. But
they had been cruelly separated and had not seen each other since.

George Denton: partner with small man
disease
George is an ex-Legionnaire
who lives a lifestyle that he cannot afford. He’s extravagant,
boastful and blighted by envy and resentment. He plans to get rid of
Michael.
Andrew Wheelright: Michael’s US Business
partner
Andrew is the closest thing to
Californian royalty; his family were early pioneers who have owned
thousands of acres and miles of private beach front.
Peter McGregor: Michael’s son
Peter is in charge of a subsidiary business and along with Andrew is
called to the rescue, but they find themselves out of their depth and
in great danger.
